THE FACES BEHIND 286 SHOW CATTLE

286 Show Cattle, Owned by James and Deena Holder is based in Athens, Texas. Getting our start in 2016, James knew he wanted to use his skills and resources to help producers and youth across the state. STAR KKH SSF Mirror Image 286W was a female purchased from Star Lake Cattle Company in 2010 by Mallorie Phelps of Grandview Texas. Over the next 2 years she piled up banners across the country including being chosen as the National Champion Polled Female in Denver in 2012. A few years later I began building the Hereford operation at Humphreys Farm and Ranch in Grandview Texas and we used 286W as our foundation genetics. We have added several daughters to the battery since the beginning that have proven themselves along the way. 286W’S progeny has continued to win banners and raise champions 13 years later. Her genetics can be found in many successful operations around the country. We plan to continue growing our operation and customer base in our new home here in Athens Texas for years to come.
